The C7 is the biggest of the C series (227cm / 7'6') and is one of the most used pianos as it is present on many concert stages, studios and prestigious music events. It’s a very good portable alternative to being tethered to a computer, and I think that’s all this app was ever meant to be.The C7Grand library is based on a Yamaha C7 Grand piano. However you can expect to enjoy a very pleasant and acceptably realistic piano sound. Phones and tablets simply don’t have the resources for that. Just don’t expect the same openness and presence as computer software like Pianoteq 6, etc. If you accept the above limitations you will get the most from these gorgeous samples. Any adjustments more than just a little above/below the mean will sound terrible. If you have a good midi keyboard, keep the velocity around 95% for the best touch vs. Just leave those at default or the latency will get ugly. Ditto for the sample rate and buffer size. It doesn’t do polyphony well, and the sound will degrade with big arpeggiated chords and lots of pedaling (i.e.: Debussy). The problems I encounter seem to be a function of the limited resources of the (2018) iPad.
